We are sad to say MB Electric is no longer operating. The owner, Michal J. Bartlomowicz, passed away September 6th, 2016. MB Electric proudly served Connecticut homes and businesses between 1988 and 2016.
We want to thank all of our clients throughout the years for their patronage, many of whom have reached out to us sharing many fond memories. He will be sorely missed as a father, husband, brother, and a man who loved his craft.
MB Electric Company was established in 1988. Originally located in Wilton, CT our company has moved to Southbury, CT in 1997 and is serving the local community as well as the surrounding areas. Our goal is to provide the best service to our existing and prospective customers, and to keep all of our customers happy.
The owner, Michael Bartlomowicz started to gain his electrical experience in 1975 working for well-known companies in Poland. Apprenticeship in heavy industrial, commercial and residential fields helped him to master his skills as an electrician. Michael left Poland in 1985 and has found friendly grounds in Connecticut and became a US citizen. Working for electrical firm in Norwalk let him climb fast up his electrical career, and after fulfilling all of the licensing requirements, he became an electrical contractor on his own. Now he lives in Southbury with his wife and son, who studies mechanical engineering at Rensselear Polytechnic Institute.
Anyone who has ever had electrical service done by MB Electric Co has always been returning to us for more, especially for our expertise and knowledge, and our prompt, courteous, professional, and reliable customer service. We still work with contractors that we worked with for first time in 1991. Michael's electrical passion, attention to detail, and a unique insight and familiarity with building construction has earned many very satisfied customers.
As electrical and electronics technology and installation codes become more and more complex, we have kept abreast of new installation requirements and techniques and acquired the necessary training and equipment to ensure you, the customer, get the best installation and follow-up service possible.
Michael Bartlomowicz has been our electrician for both our home and business needs for over 20 years. As a home contractor, we can honestly say that of all the subcontractors we've dealt with, Mike was always the most reliable and knowledgeable in his field.
The best example that can be given to demonstrate his level of expertise was when a local building inspector brought another builder to one of our homes under construction, in order to show him how electrical work is properly done. Additionally, whenever a cable serviceman, alarm service tech, or other similar technician comes to our home, they always comment on the neatness of the electrical work found.

I gave a lot of thought to getting a generator but I needed help to decide. Mike at M. B Electric offered that expertise and experience. We have already lost power and the generator worked like a charm. Mike enjoys, takes pride and worked hard to satisfy us with the installation.

We first met Mike Bartlomowicz back in April 2004 as he was the electrician hired by the building contractor of our new home. From that first day, Mike has always shown an exceptional interest in delivering the best possible electrical or low-voltage wiring solution. He's inquisitive about your desired outcome and offers excellent recommendations. Mike has always been 'spot on' with his timeliness, cleanliness and very reasonable rates. We've had him back dozens of times to do electrical work and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced and VERY reliable electrician.
